The Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) crew, which includes Indian-American astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, is preparing to return to Earth after a successful stay aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Their scheduled undocking and splashdown are set for July 15th, marking the end of their groundbreaking mission.
From Launchpad to Space Station
The Ax-4 mission began on June 25th with a thrilling liftoff aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Launching from the historic Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, the crew embarked on an incredible journey to the orbiting laboratory.
Awaiting Splashdown on July 15th
After conducting valuable research and experiments during their time on the ISS, the Ax-4 astronauts are now eagerly anticipating their return. The undocking procedure, a carefully choreographed maneuver, will detach their spacecraft from the ISS and set them on a course back to Earth. Splashdown is anticipated for July 15th, concluding their remarkable voyage.
