Axiom-4 Mission Extended: Shubhanshu Shukla and Crew’s ISS Stay Lengthened

The Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) crew’s journey home has been postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions at the splashdown site. Originally scheduled for an earlier return, the crew, including Indian-American astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, will now remain aboard the International Space Station (ISS) until July 14th.

Unforeseen Weather Conditions Postpone Return Trip

The Ax-4 mission, which launched on June 25th aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, has been extended due to persistent unfavorable weather conditions at the designated splashdown location. The safety of the crew is paramount, and the decision to extend the mission ensures a safe return.

Shubhanshu Shukla and Crew Continue Research on the ISS
