Gurugram Flooded: Heavy Rains Cause Traffic Chaos, Schools and Offices Go Remote

Gurugram residents woke up to a nightmare this morning as torrential overnight rain brought the city to a standstill. Widespread waterlogging has resulted in massive traffic jams, with some commuters reporting being stuck for up to five agonizing hours.

Schools and Offices Respond to the Deluge

With roads resembling rivers and many areas inaccessible, schools quickly shifted to online learning to ensure the safety of students. Many offices also followed suit, advising employees to work remotely to avoid the treacherous commute and contribute to easing the traffic congestion.

IMD Red Alert Remains in Effect

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert for Gurugram, warning of continued heavy rainfall. Residents are urged to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary and take precautions to stay safe.
