Shubhanshu Shukla’s Epic Journey Back to Earth After Historic Space Mission

Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is on his way back to Earth after a groundbreaking journey aboard the Axiom-4 mission, making him the second Indian to venture into the cosmos, following in the footsteps of Rakesh Sharma’s 1984 mission.

Splashdown in the Pacific

After spending valuable time aboard the International Space Station (ISS), Shubhanshu and his Ax-4 crewmates are currently undertaking a 23-hour return trip. Their splashdown is scheduled in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of California, at 3:01 pm IST.

Following in the Footsteps of a Legend

Shubhanshu’s journey carries a special significance for India, echoing Rakesh Sharma’s pioneering spaceflight nearly four decades ago. This mission marks another important chapter in India’s growing presence in space exploration.
